About Us

When Perfect English Stuff first launched on Instagram in the autumn of 2020, there were three of us - antique dealer and matriarch, Margery Byam Shaw, her daughter Ros Byam Shaw, and Ros’s daughter Elizabeth Kemp. In March 2021, Elizabeth’s daughter Clementine was born. Then, very sadly in October of that year, Margery died after a short illness. She taught us so much and we like to think we are continuing her legacy. Meanwhile we are training Clementine up to be an expert popper of bubble-wrap and crumpler of packing paper, and trying to teach her that antiques are to be used and admired, but not necessarily eaten…
